When you buy a new service, upgrade an existing one, or register a domain with us, the time it takes to process depends on what you've ordered. This article explains what to expect for each type of purchase, and what to do if something hasn't arrived when you'd expect it to. ### New hosting accounts Once you've signed up to your new service, it will automatically create within a few minutes. Your welcome email, including your login details, will be sent to you once the account has been set up. ### Hosting upgrades Upgrades are instant and do not cause any downtime. ### VPS services VPS services are activated instantly once payment has been received. If your order is flagged for manual review, we'll be in touch to confirm the next steps before your service is set up. ### Domain purchases Domain purchases are normally processed within a few seconds. If there's an issue that prevents your domain from registering on our end, we'll get in touch to let you know the next steps. If your domain doesn't appear in your [client area](https://hosting.blakemarkproductions.com/clientarea.php) after purchase, please contact us and we'll resolve it. ### Domain transfers A lot needs to happen for a domain transfer to take place. Depending on external factors (including your existing registrar), transfers can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. We have dedicated guides covering the full process: - [Transferring a domain to Blake Mark Productions](https://help.blakemarkdigital.co.uk/transferring-a-.uk-domain-name-to-us) - [Transferring a domain away from Blake Mark Productions](https://help.blakemarkdigital.co.uk/transfer-a-domain-away-from-us) Unlike some companies, we **don't charge** for transferring domains away. ### If your hosting hasn't been created or your welcome email hasn't arrived You should receive your welcome email and cPanel login details within 30 minutes of completing your order. If you haven't, there are a few common reasons: - The domain name on your order is already in use on another package on our systems - Your order is being held for manual review (see "Things to note" below) - Your payment is still clearing (most common with bank transfer) If more than 30 minutes have passed and none of the above seem to apply, please get in touch and we'll help get you up and running. ### Things to note **Bank transfer payments** can take one to two working days to clear, and your service won't be activated until the payment reaches us. If you need your service sooner, we'd recommend paying by Credit/Debit card. **Orders held for manual review** mean that something on your order didn't pair up correctly.
