[Domains](https://help.blakemarkdigital.co.uk/domains) # How to check and update your domains contact details When you register a domain, you must provide contact information. For .uk domains, there is one primary contact. For most other domains, there are four contact types: Owner, Admin, Billing, and Technical. Keeping your domain contact details up to date is essential. If your details are incorrect, we may be unable to reach you at renewal time — which could result in your domain expiring and being lost. You can check and update your domain's contact details in your [Client Area](https://whmcs.blakemarkproductions.com/clientarea.php). 1. Note that changing the primary contact here does **not** change the Registrant (the domain owner). To change the Registrant, visit [Nominet's online portal](https://secure.nominet.org.uk/account/intro.html) and log in with the registrant's email address. For **all other domains**, you may see up to four contacts: Owner, Admin, Billing, and Technical. Please ensure all contact details are correct and up to date. #### Important: Registrant contact changes for non-UK domains If you change the registrant contact's first name, last name, organisation, or email address, the domain will be **locked for 60 days**. During this period, you will be unable to transfer the domain to another registrar. This is not a policy of Blake Mark Productions — it is a mandatory requirement defined by [ICANN](https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/registrars/transfers-en) (opens in a new window).
